Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and [[LEGAL ENTITY]] ("we", "us") governing your use of the Sithea app. By creating an account or using Sithea, you agree to these Terms, the [Privacy Policy](PRIVACY_POLICY.md), and the [Medical Disclaimer](MEDICAL_DISCLAIMER.md).

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Sithea. By using it, you confirm that you are.

2. Sithea is not medical care

Sithea is a wellness and self-management companion, not a medical device and not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not for emergencies. You must read and accept the [Medical Disclaimer](MEDICAL_DISCLAIMER.md), which is part of these Terms.

3. Your account

• Keep your login credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You may delete your account at any time in the app.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Sithea for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• provide medical advice to other users, or present yourself as a medical professional, in the community;
• post content that is harmful, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or that infringes others' rights or privacy;
• share another person's private or identifying information without consent;
• attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service or other users' data;
• misuse the AI assistant to generate unlawful or harmful content.

5. Community content

• You own the content you post. You grant us a limited licence to store, display, and distribute it within Sithea so the community features work.
• You are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.
• We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are harmful, to protect the community.
• You can report content and block other members in the app. Reports may be retained for safety and moderation.
• The community is peer support, not professional care. Content posted by other members is not reviewed or endorsed by us.

6. AI features

The assistant generates responses using AI, which may be inaccurate or incomplete. You use AI-generated content at your own discretion and risk, subject to the Medical Disclaimer.

7. Our intellectual property

The Sithea app, its design, and its content (excluding your data and user content) belong to [[LEGAL ENTITY]]. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose.

8. Subscriptions & payments

Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, subject to their terms; manage or cancel them in your store account. Any free access granted during a beta or promotional period may be changed or ended at our discretion.

9. Termination

You may stop using Sithea and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

• Sithea is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.
• We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, [[LEGAL ENTITY]] is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decision made or action taken in reliance on the app or its AI output. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where applicable).

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will ask you to re-accept in the app before you continue using it.

12. Governing law
